Explore Michael J. Fox’s reflections on illness, recovery, ageing and optimism in a memoir about mortality and living in the present.

Michael J. Fox reflects on what optimism means when life refuses to follow the script. In No Time Like the Future, he writes about illness and recovery, growing older, family and friendship, and the changing way we think about time. Warm, candid and often funny, this memoir looks at mortality without losing sight of the present.

Meet Your Book Seller

A dedicated home for stage and screen.

Hi, I’m Jack, a musician, conductor and lifelong enthusiast of film and theatre. After founding The Studio Orchestra, a 70-piece orchestra celebrating the music of stage and screen, I left an eight-year career in supply chain planning to build the bookshop I’d always wished existed.

Fourth Wall was born from a frustration: books about film and theatre are too often confined to a small corner. I wanted to give plays, screenplays, behind-the-scenes books and creative craft a dedicated home - one designed for curiosity, inspiration and discovery.

If I can help in anyway then you can always reach out to me on jack@fourthwallbookshop.co.uk
