For the best chance of having your books under the tree in time, please order by our recommended UK cut-off dates:

These dates apply to in-stock books. All times are UK time. We recommend ordering early wherever possible, especially if you need time to wrap your gifts or send them onwards.
Royal Mail 48 and Royal Mail 24 are not guaranteed services. Our recommended dates follow Royal Mail’s Christmas guidance and our dispatch schedule, but delays can happen during the festive period.
Yes - choose Express Delivery at checkout for Royal Mail 24. Free standard delivery does not automatically include an express upgrade.
Yes, you can still place an order, but it may arrive after Christmas. If your books are needed for a particular date, please contact us before ordering and we’ll advise on the available options.
These cut-off dates are for UK delivery only. For overseas Christmas gifts, please contact us before ordering so we can advise on delivery to your destination.
Fourth Wall is an independent online bookshop for lovers of stage and screen. Founded by Jack Campey, we give film and theatre books a dedicated home, with a carefully chosen range for curious readers, students and creative professionals.
Our shelves cover plays, screenplays, musical theatre, filmmaking and theatre craft, alongside biographies, art books and behind-the-scenes stories. Whether you want to explore a favourite production or learn more about making your own, there’s plenty to discover.

Standard delivery is £3.50, or free on UK orders of £25 or more, using Royal Mail Tracked 48. Delivery usually takes two to three working days after dispatch.
Express delivery costs £4.50 using Royal Mail Tracked 24, which aims to arrive the next working day after dispatch. Delivery times are estimates, rather than guarantees.
Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday, normally leave us the same working day. Orders placed later, at weekends or on bank holidays normally leave the next working day. Busy periods may take a little longer.
We’ll email your tracking details once your order has been dispatched. Tracking may take a little time to update.
International delivery is available to selected destinations. Check availability and prices at checkout, and read our shipping policy for details of delivery estimates and any import charges.
Check your tracking first. If it’s seven working days beyond the expected delivery date, email orders@fourthwallbookshop.co.uk with your order number so we can investigate.
Email orders@fourthwallbookshop.co.uk promptly. We’ll check whether changes are possible. Once dispatched, please follow our returns process.
You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Email orders@fourthwallbookshop.co.uk before posting anything back.
For change-of-mind returns requested after the first 14 days, books must be unused, unread and in their original saleable condition. See our returns and refunds policy for full conditions and exceptions.
For UK change-of-mind returns, we can provide a prepaid label, with £3.50 deducted from your refund. Returns for damaged, faulty or incorrect items are free. International return arrangements are explained in our shipping policy.
Email us your order number and photos of the book and packaging, where possible. We’ll help put things right.
Refunds go to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your return or evidence of posting, whichever is earlier. Your payment provider may need extra processing time.
