Vagabond: Tim Curry

Vagabond is Tim Curry’s memoir of a life in theatre, film and voice acting, from his early years to the roles that made him a distinctive presence on stage and screen.

Curry reflects on playing Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pennywise in It and King Arthur in Spamalot. Alongside those familiar characters, he explores his formative experiences at school and university, the beginning of his performing career and the demands of moving between a camera and a live audience.

The book also considers his voice work and life after his 2012 stroke. For readers interested in actors’ memoirs and the craft of performance, it offers Curry’s own account of the work behind a remarkable range of characters.
